Injured center Sidney Crosby accompanied the Penguins on this trip and skated at the TD Garden a few hours before the game.
Of course, Crosby did not dress against the Bruins, which means he has missed 44 of the Penguins’ first 52 games,
He figures to sit out at least a few more games before getting medical clearance to rejoin the lineup.
And perhaps because he has been injured so much of the past 13-plus months, his absence isn’t an issue inside the team, according to Bylsma.
“For our team, it’s not any different than for any other player who isn’t in our lineup,” he said.
“Not having Jordan Staal right now and not having Sidney Crosby, it’s not any different, in terms of how we deal with it.
“There’s always a bit more attention for Sidney, and I think people want to hear more information about an injury that we just don’t have a lot of information about, and the progression of it.
“But we think we can be a good team with the way we play … and that happens with the guys who are on the ice, who are in that [dressing] room.”
